Alfred Stieglitz (1864 -1946) was an American photographer and gallery owner. Stieglitz is a key figure in photography and American art world because its publishing activities and numerous galleries was a direct point of contact between the artists of the new continent and those in Europe and a great popularizer for the general public to which recounted with great effectiveness, the movement of the artistic avant-garde.
